Michelle Obama is coming to Germany in autumn [see "Stern" report]. She will appear there at the "Bits & Pretzels" start-up festival. She wants to give a speech on "Inclusion and Diversity".

"Again?", you might ask. Aren't the vast majority of people getting fed up with the topic of "Diversity and Equality"? Aren't we being bombarded with rainbow propaganda 24/7? Don't we hear LGBTQ ads up and down the radio? Isn't TV full of "multicultural" and "motley"? Isn't there now more talk of patchwork families than of normal father-mother-child families? Can't we already see the rainbow flag flying everywhere? Aren't gender toilets already being built everywhere? Aren't we bombarded with gender-neutral language every day? Aren't there gender officers in companies? Gender lessons in schools? "Gender studies at universities? Aren't there already quota regulations everywhere? Is there never an end to it? Is there nothing more important in society?

Why are we constantly confronted with gender issues and rainbow ideology?

Why does this ideology-propaganda currently occupy such a preeminent place in the entire Western world?

Why do companies start running LGBTQ ads even when it goes against their own clientele and leads to lost sales? Why have beer ads in the US been made by transsexuals when the typical customers are mostly heteronormative men, sports fans and blue-collar workers?

The answer is: it's the "Equality Indices".

What is it? What is it about?

The story is simply told. Leaders of the US financial industry and big corporations have been indoctrinated by left-liberal ideology in their university days. And now, as the rich and powerful, they want to help these ideas to take hold.

They do this as leading investors and heads of large corporations, financial institutions, shadow banks and asset management companies or gigantic hedge funds by making investments dependent on ideological values.

The huge shifts of money in the stock and bond markets are made according to whether the recipients of the investments submit to the LGBTQ gender equality agenda.

In order for shareholders and investors to see whether companies or institutions are LGBTQ-friendly and gender-neutral, indices are created. These rate the major companies listed on the stock exchange. And the ratings are used in deciding whether or not to make investments in these companies.

The power of gender-equality indices
For example, look at the "Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index". It says: "In the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index 2023, companies take action on diversity and inclusion".

It goes on to say: "Bloomberg announced that 484 companies are included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) 2023. The GEI serves as a touchstone for companies seeking to track their progress on gender inclusion and how the implementation of diversity policies impacts business performance."

The index is designed to hold corporate managers and CEOs accountable on gender issues: "We cannot overemphasise the importance of leadership when it comes to improving gender equality in the workplace [...] Change can only be driven when diversity and inclusion are part of leaders' performance metrics."

So the "Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index" is designed to help investors put their money into companies that meet the criteria. And it gives investors the opportunity to hold managers and CEOs accountable if their corporate policies do not meet these guidelines.

The companies themselves show how important these ratings are in their press releases. For example, see here the Nestlé Group's press statement:

"Nestlé was listed in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) 2023 for the fifth consecutive year. The company scored 78.5%, above the average index score of 73%."

Further, the press release states, "Nestlé is accelerating its efforts to promote gender balance in the company and continues to implement policies, initiatives and projects to build a more diverse, equal and inclusive workforce and culture. Currently, 45% of management positions are held by women and the company continues to strive for gender parity at all management levels. Nestlé has also committed to increase the proportion of women in its 200+ senior leadership positions to 30% by the end of 2022. The company will report on progress towards this goal in its 'Creating Shared Value and Sustainability Report 2022'. The company also promotes gender equality within its supply chain, particularly in the farming communities from which it sources its products."

This is what many companies and institutions are doing like Nestlé: They provide accountability against gender equality indices. Image on this issue is important to attract investors worldwide.

Colleges, universities and universities of applied sciences are also rated

As educational institutions function more and more like educational companies and depend on financiers and investors, they submit to all kinds of rankings. In addition, there are now also gender-equality rankings for educational institutions. This is also explicitly demanded and promoted by the United Nations.

And so there are corresponding indices such as the ranking of "Times Higher Education". There you can see how universities perform on gender issues. Do we still need an explanation why there are gender officers everywhere in Germany and why there are now more chairs for "gender studies" than for pharmacy?

Management consultancies have gender diversity indices

The big management consultancies have gender diversity indices. For example, the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), which advises companies on business issues and claims to have helped countless companies add trillions to their value.

The Boston Consulting Group develops gender diversity indices and at the same time advises companies on how to rise in such indices.

German DAX companies in diversity indices

German companies are also listed in the German Diversity Index.

Victoria Wagner Founder & CEO of BeyondGenderAgenda explains on the website:

"The German Diversity Index evaluates the diversity commitment of DAX-40 companies and makes it comparable through uniformly applied criteria. There are still no binding standards for documenting the commitment to diversity in annual and sustainability reports. We would like to change this in the future in order to increase transparency for stakeholders and the public and to motivate the companies in the leading German stock index to intensify their diversity commitment in the long term.

The keyword "stakeholders" reveals where the hare is heading: investors and shareholders do not only orient their investment strategies on profit prospects, but also on values. And these values revolve around gender equality and diversity.

States and governments are also valued

Anyone who thinks that valuations in form indices are limited to companies and private institutions is mistaken. Because public institutions and even governments and states are also rated.

There is, for example, the EIGE, the "European Institute for Gender Equality", where EU countries are evaluated and compared with regard to their gender policies [see HERE].

Diversity+Rainbow Indices

In addition to indices that focus more on gender equality, there are also indices that place a special focus on the LGBTQ+ community. In Germany, for example, there is the "Dax 30 LGBT+ Diversity Index" [see report HERE]. It shows how committed individual companies are to LGBTplus diversity.

This is also recorded in statistics. The business press reports in detail on which companies do particularly well or badly on diversity and LGBTQ issues [see report in "Handelsblatt"].

Internationally influential is the "Corporate Equality Index" of the "Human Rights Foundation" based in Washington.

It says: "The Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index  is the national benchmarking tool for corporate policies, practices and performance relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees."

And, "As the national benchmarking tool for measuring policies, practices and benefits relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) employees, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index is a key driver of LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace. Data from the CEI tells the story of a nearly two-decade surge in the adoption of these critical policies and practices that indicate employers' commitment to equality."

Summary

Various indices rate companies, institutions and even countries on gender equality and diversity policy criteria. These indices influence the decisions of investors (e.g. wealthy individual investors, banks, financial institutions, shadow banks, asset managers, hedge funds).

So, to attract and retain financiers, companies and institutions try to appear in good light in such indices. Budgets are allocated for this purpose, which are the financial fuel for gigantic ideological propaganda.

In short, it is less about influencing end consumers than about the image of companies and institutions among investors and financiers. Raising the rainbow flag and the completely exaggerated equality advertising signals the ideology that must be displayed in order to get what everyone needs: investors' money.

And because even the giant asset managers and shadow banks like BlackRock and Vanguard are influenced by such indices, rainbow-coloured mega-trends are rolling around the globe.
