Rod Dreher developed a strategy for Christians in a post-Christian society. It caused quite a stir in the United States. Perhaps the most important new publication for German-speaking Christians in the spring of 2018 is now available in Tobias Klein's translation. The problems that Dreher solves not only concern the USA, but also our German-speaking countries. This book - here with a foreword by Archbishop Georg Gänswein as a paperback - is not a self-pitying description of the state of affairs, but shows the possibilities of building a Christian counterculture with respect to the roots of our faith. It is a challenge for churches and for every individual.

About the Author: Rod Dreher is not promoting a political agenda or presenting a manual of spiritual practice, but he shows how Christians can find creative ways to live out their faith joyfully and counterculturally. The basis is the rule of St. Benedict: the ability to follow the right path at the time of decision.

About the Author: Fulton John Sheen, (1895-1979) was a Roman Catholic bishop in the United States and one of the most influential figures in the American Christian media of the 20th century. He was a very prolific author of books, but also early used the new media of radio and television to preach. From 1930, he ran a weekly radio program called the Catholic Hour. From 1951 he also worked on television and thus became one of the first "television preachers". He hosted the weekly Life Is Worth Living for the DuMont Television Network and later for ABC, in which he gave half-hour lectures on life or faith. In 1952, he won an Emmy Award for it. From 1961 to 1968, he directed a similar program called The Fulton Sheen Program.
